Who is Recovered?
Welcome! My name is Dr Heather Smith, and I provide individual therapy for adults experiencing a variety of challenges, including stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, and vocational issues. I have an eclectic approach depending on client and context. I draw from several therapeutic disciplines including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, dialectical behaviour, solution-focused brief therapy, and others.
I am here to enable you to help yourself. My goal is to equip you with a toolbox full of strategies to help you to cope, progress, and move forward positively. I may even do an assessment or two to give you understanding into your struggles and give you that feeling of 'now I understand'.
I use a person-centered approach.
